Air on the Go, video installation

Air on the Go is a multiple monitor video installation that tells a story about staying current, connected and calibrated in a fast-changing, data-driven hyper-monitored world. Shot with multiple cameras and video-stitched into a panoptic 360-degree view. Within this subverted horizon, Lucas performs a monologue: part diagnostic, part experiential commentary, and part technical changelog. Her monologue is written out of aggregate data sourced from an amalgam of online consumer reviews, comment threads, and technical forums about system upgrades, personal preferences, statistical comparisons, biometric feedback and more. It is an attempt to harness the language and expertise of others to describe the condition of the fleeting, ephemeral nature of technological experience in the current moment.
